Who I am beyond Design

More than a Product Designer, I'm a someone who loves experimenting, be it new cuisines or experiences, I would love to try them all!

I call myself a 'T-shaped' designer who focuses not only on designing screens and experiences but understanding the problem area, scope, feasibility and strategising in order to serve solutions that fit not only the users but the business well. I just don't think about pixels but about the bigger picture!

Beyond designing pixels and coming up with user flows and strategies, I am a curious person who would ask questions, try to find rationale behind everything and learn constantly.

My story

I started as a self-taught product designer, with a core focus on continuous learning and growth. My journey began in computer science engineering, pivoted into business consulting, and ultimately led me to pursue my true passion - design.

The deep-rooted emphasis on learning has enabled me to adapt quickly to designing for diverse domains. With strong foundational skills, I seamlessly navigate new challenges and industries. I am happy to be able to choose a career which I fully enjoy doing.

Looking ahead

As I progress in my career, I aspire to be a design professional who advocates not only for user needs and business growth but also for the design community. I want to build trust within organisations as a designer who champions design’s role in decision-making, ensuring designers are seen as problem solvers, not just as aesthetic perfectionists.

I’m also committed to engaging with the design community to learn and grow together. As the Ambassador for the ADPList Pittsburgh Chapter, I actively organize meetups and design sessions to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
